WE THE PEOPLE BOOKSHELF.

As part of its We the People initiative, the National Endowment for the Humanities is collaborating with the American Library Association to present the We the People Bookshelf, a program encouraging young people to read classic books and explore themes in American history and culture.

Mendon Library has applied for and received fifteen thematically related books which embody the theme of "Becoming American."

Several resources are available to suggest fiction books to read. The Monroe County Library System subscribes to:

NoveList
NoveList is a readers' advisory service for over 125,000 fiction titles and 90,000 reviews.  Includes features like "Find a Favorite Author," and "Find a Favorite Title."
