Story Time Beginning in March, our story time will be offered on the first Thursday of each month at three different times. Targeted to ages 3-6, each story time will include a selection of books, songs, activities and/or a simple craft. To facilitate our planning process, registration is required by calling 624-6067.

Home Green Home Monday, March 15, 7:00-8:30 pm -- for ages 12 and up Mendon Public Library, 15 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls Organica Jane shares how to clean your home without toxic cleaning products and improve the health of your home at the same time. This educational presentation will cover ingredients in popular household chemicals and how they affect you, easy ways to clean with items from your kitchen cupboard, and the antiviral, antibacterial and disinfecting properties of various essential oils. Introduction to Latin Tuesday, March 16, from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. – for youth in Grades 4-6 Mendon Public Library, 15 Monroe St., Honeoye Falls Using fun, simple, hands-on activities and games, participants will get a taste of this great language. This highly interactive program will be presented by current high school students and Gen Gysel, HFL Latin teacher. Registration is required; call 624-6067.
Computer and Internet Basics Training Wednesdays, March 17, 9:15 am/10:15 am/11:15 am/12:15 pm--For adults Mendon Public Library, 15 Monroe Street, Honoeye Falls These one-on-one sessions are designed to raise your comfort level with a computer, popular computer software applications (Word, Excel), and the internet (including email, search programs, and social networking sites). Call 624-6067 to register for one 45-minute session of personalized instruction on one or more of the training dates. Use a library computer or bring your own laptop. Please state your skill level and what you hope to learn when you call to register.
An HFL Community Reads Event! Teen Yoga Thursday, March 18, from 7- 8:15 p.m. – for ages 13-18 Yoga Quest, 3 Mendon-Ionia Rd., Mendon Have you ever wanted to try yoga? Yoga helps lengthen and strengthen muscles developed by traditional school sports and reduces stress. Kathy Schmidt, founder of Yoga Quest in Mendon, will lead participants on a one session yoga quest. No experience is required, but registration is a must. Call 624-6067.
Fool Me Once! Monday, March 29, from 4 - 5 p.m. – for ages 5-12 Mendon Public Library, 15 Monroe St., Honeoye Falls Create a mess for April Fool’s Day that will leave them laughing. Participants will make an “ice cream cone accident” and a “hot chocolate spill”. Registration is required; call 624-6067. There is a $2 fee for this program.
A, B, C's of Curtains, Furniture and Accessory Placement Monday, March 29, from 7-8:30 p.m. – for adults
Mendon Public Library, 15 Monroe St., Honeoye Falls
Barbara Brachfeld, an in-home design consultant for Country Curtains, will share how to arrange furniture, deal with small or irregular spaces, choose colors and patterns, and stage a home for sale. She will also provide tips to patrons who bring pictures of specific problem spaces. This program is designed for adults. Call 624.6067 to register.

Surfing Safely--Learning to be Safe on the Internet Saturday, April 17, from 10 a.m. to noon – for ages 10-15

Students will learn through open discussion, written materials, and real life video documentaries about children their own age. Topics to be discussed include “Keeping Your Identity Safe,” “Cyber Bullying,” “Chat Room Safety,” “How to Spot a Potential Predator,” “Keeping Your Parents in the Loop,” and “Texting/Instant Messaging Safety.” Registration is required; call 624-6067. Pajamarama Story Time with the Dollhouse Lady
